佛教邏輯中充滿了矛盾對立的情況,若然以現代邏輯予以剖析似乎更為清析易解 The logic of Buddhist philosophy – Graham Priest – Aeon – http://aeon.co/magazine/philosophy/logic-of-buddhist-philosophy/ 甲、<如來説莊嚴,即非莊嚴,是之為莊嚴> 還不夠簡?再施之以所謂現代邏輯的處理,不亦更複雜,更失旨意乎!豈非在叠牀架屋乎!雖只三句,字義不會不明,卻難解其意旨,因而再動以手術,奈何? 乙、看了嗎? 甲、大概全文讀了。 又他要處理的不是佛家邏輯,而是要用現代邏輯去重釋佛家建基於貎似矛盾的論述,如—般所謂的四句否定,老吴和陳惠南都作過,用的邏輯方法有些不同而已。 佛説莊嚴的三句和四句否定,都是佛常用的論述方式,都有它們的旨意所在。對這些論述自然可從很多角度去不断再釋,做得更複雜更多文字,但亦因此而容易陷于其中,好似不断去人工地駁長手指,而遗忘了手指夲來指向的月。 乙、要明白西方文化傳統沒這些,他們要理解當然要通過他們已有的。 甲、作者的重釋,可説清晰,但更複雜,易解我看不見得。三句與四句否定不是更淸晰易解嗎?只是難掌握其旨意而已,因而不少人再想去人工地延長手指,以為以此方式可更易覓得旨意。 他們已有的傳統,不客氣的説,便変成了習氣,可能更壞事,使他們更難醒悟,原來正正要脱離他們的傳統,才有望轉身往東方路上。 乙、你浸淫於東方文化之中,人家是站在西方文化之中去理解。正如老勞的《西方思想的困局》是從中國人角度去理解西方文化,西方人也覺其有點那個吧~ 再說,正如你曾說佛學也要六百年才能被中國文化吸收、才有你這個理解。西方也才在這幾十年才開始去理解哩…… 甲、你説的都是大的边緣上的話。老勞更不是,起碼他自覺不是從中國人的角度去解讀西哲,用他自己的話是以世界的配景或視野去看。他亦不是無看出他們的—些要害之處。 老牟,老勞,李天命乃至很多現代的華人哲學學者,其思考方式已比較西化了,只因西哲的思考方式確為其精華所在。但這並不表示在哲學課題内容上的精彩盡在西方。 乙、Nonsense 甲、你覺無意思,我也沒法! 乙、「 哲學很著重理的鍛鍊,訓練敏感于理,醒察于理,雖有理而絶不以理迫人,欺人,更虚懷自持之理可有不足或錯失之處,經人—俟點出,即予以承認改過。」 甲、共勉! 乙、好勝 “Western philosophers have not, on the whole, regarded … Continue reading
