沉默
沉默確是信仰的虚無,人處亂世中往往“叫天不應、叫地不靈”,一般人處於此狀態中確實難熬……況且“時間上”亦未必可以予人以熬的能耐。尼采從此處強調人的生生不息之意志(但却非人人能有之)。karl barth從此處向上求而確立信的需要,所以kierkegaard要言信心的跳躍……

尼采
尼采,依我之見,是最先將意義(sense)與價值(value)兩個觀念引入哲學的人。意義與價值是尼采用之於批判西方哲學、文化的基石。無論《道德系譜學》《人性,太人性》……都是他對西方文化、哲學的價值重估……19世紀科學的進步、政治、經濟的發展令到社會踏入了前所未有的“進步”之中,人在信仰上不在、或往往不在純然的信仰上獲得滿足(上帝的退隱),因此而反更使人走向一種虚無之中(黄國鉅更強調這種虚無源自基督信仰本身,所以尼采要antichrist)。正如karl barth在《羅馬書釋義》中,把無意義的經驗作為護教學的基礎:信仰,帶有摧毀先前宗教生活概念;信仰是一種“無知”、虛空,這不是信仰、確信的在場,而是其缺席。人在篤信中是孤獨的、對“真理”的絕望,從而失落所有價值、意義,迷失於無可逃避的混沌狀態中。對知識無力、行動無效,在這信仰的條件中人才能委身於基督之中。這即構成barth辨證神學、或危機神學的起點與核心。尼采對(上述)虛無主義與基督教的分析,是他確信歐洲文化、歷史已落入虛無主義(虛無主義有多重含義,認識論的、真理論的、本體論的、道德的、價值的……)之中,它意味着人死亡的開始(vs永生)、新的存在方式的開端(價值重估:從抽象中回落個别的、具體的人的實在中)…… 尼采對於每個人而言,都是never too early

啟蒙
讀書固然不容易,但能運用理性獨立去思考更不容易。誠如康德在《甚麼是啟蒙?》中所言: 「啟蒙,是指人類從自我導致的不成熟狀態中覺醒。這種不成熟狀態是指在缺乏指導下無力運用自我理性的狀態。造成它的原因並非人缺乏理性,而是在無人指導下缺乏決心和勇氣來運用理性。……」

平情了解
尼采是個寶藏,唯世人只看表面,只見其書名(anti christ….)即予以攻擊、痛批……而少予以詳究其所言、所思……更少人將之放於整個大歷史背景中予以研究……如斯當然出錯、誤解重重……唯對尼采的了解永不會遲…… 康德看到世界的理性秩序、道德法則……,黑格爾看到人的精神所能達到的絕對境況、並回過來統攝一切,尼采看到世界的迷失、信仰的空虛、個體的失落、人的安於安逸……,每個前人都因應其自身所處、所感、所思、所苦……而盡其能、望能去為世人解其憂苦困惑而已……在我們能清楚了解前是否應先予以平情的了解?這不是我們應有的責任嗎?
